Our second wedding cake for the same day took me to The Holiday Inn in Basildon, Essex for the wedding of Alex and Michael. I also made Alex’s sister’s wedding cake when I very first started up Sticky Fingers Cake Co so it was really lovely working with the family again.
Alex and Michael’s wedding cake had a tiny nod to Beauty and the Beast in their colour scheme of purple, black and white, with ornate moulding, dark purple sugar roses and black sugar leaves.
The flavours they chose were Cherry Bakewell, Victoria Sponge and Cookies & Cream.
